Fasano Receives Special Recognition

aaaaiDr. Mary Beth Fasano, Clinical Professor of Immunology and of Pediatrics and the Director of the Allergy and Immunology Fellowship Program, has been recognized by the subspecialty’s national organization for her work. The Board of Directors of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI) has announced its 2017 Honorary Award recipients. The AAAAI’s awards recognize extraordinary efforts on the part of their recipients to improve patient care, advance the science and knowledge of allergy and immunology, and support the organization’s mission.

Multiple awards are presented to outstanding clinicians, mentors, and scientists, but only one person will be presented with the 2017 Special Recognition Award. Dr. Fasano is cited by the AAAAI for “leadership skills in advancing the education programming of the allergy/immunology specialty through service at the AAAAI and American Board of Allergy and Immunology.” Congratulations, Dr. Fasano!
