Progress, 10/5-6: Call for Abstracts and Registration

Progress 2017: Learning Together in the 21st Century will be back in Iowa City this year at the Sheraton Hotel on October 5 and 6, the same weekend as the University of Iowa’s Homecoming celebration. Last year, this decades-old CME conference featured a newly established collaboration between the Carver College of Medicine and the College of Pharmacy to address new approaches in five different subspecialties.

This year, conference organizers, supported by the Iowa Chapter of the Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM), the Iowa Chapter of the American College of Physicians, the Collaborative Education Institute, and the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education, look to repeat last year’s success, focusing this year on:

  • Gastroenterology
  • Hepatology
  • Hospital Medicine
  • Infectious Diseases
  • General Internal Medicine
  • Neurology
  • Psychiatry

The two-day conference also features a poster session and abstract competition, sponsored by SHM. Interested researchers can review the guidelines and submit their abstracts here. The deadline to submit is Monday, September 25, at 5:00 p.m.

To register for this year’s Progress, visit the CME website here. Late registration fees will be added after September 22, 2017. Don’t delay!
