Members of the Division of Gastroenterology-Hepatology traveled recently to San Diego for DDW 2016. This annual event was sponsored by the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract. These organizers promised the world’s largest gathering of physicians and researchers in the field, and from all indications they kept their promise.
More than a dozen of our own GI physicians and researchers attended to give presentations, talk shop with colleagues, and even receive awards. Dr. Mohamed Mokadem, winner of this year’s AGA Pilot Research Award, was formally recognized. We hope all the attendees had a productive and informative week!
