Residents’ Welcome Picnic, 2017

On a beautiful summer evening earlier this week, the Internal Medicine Residency Program held its annual picnic to greet a new class of interns. Having just begun their orientation the day before, these first-year residents were grateful for an opportunity to relax with nothing more important on their plates than to choose between a brat or a veggie burger.

A number of faculty and staff also got the chance to attend and to help our new class know just how valued they would be over the next three years of their training and careers. Faces got put to names, dogs were greeted, Frisbees were thrown, and families were welcomed right alongside our newest members.

Thank you to the faculty and staff for organizing the picnic and to all who attended, ensuring this new class would feel right at home in their new home.
