Heather Schacht Reisinger, PhD, has been named Associate Director of Engagement, Integration and Implementation for the University of Iowa’s Institute for Clinical and Translational Science (ICTS). Reisinger is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and the Associate Director and Core Investigator for the Center for Access and Delivery Research and Evaluation (CADRE) at the Iowa City VAHCS. She is also an Affiliate Faculty in the Program in Bioethics and Humanities and the Department of Anthropology.
The UI’s ICTS partners with 11 colleges to conduct research that engages the community using both technology and personal interactions to advance the delivery of health care and personal health and wellness. Reisinger will oversee ICTS’s community engagement and integrating special populations cores within the institute and work to grow implementation science throughout the university.
