Rarely in the headlines but mission-critical, the Department of Internal Medicine’s administration team gathered over the lunch hour for an annual thank-you from the department.
In his remarks, Department Chair Dr. Dale Abel pointed out that they comprise one of the leanest administrative teams in the Carver College of Medicine. “And yet,” he said, “when a question comes up or there’s a need for a particular piece of data, I am never surprised to learn that you all already have an answer or track that particular metric.” Dr. Abel thanked the assembled Vice Chairs, Administrators, Analysts, Accountants, Coordinators, IT experts, and other personnel for their ongoing hard work, flexibility, and creativity.
